Street robbery cases on the rise in Molepolole

The growing wave of street robberies has raised police concerns following two incidents reported over the last weekend in Molepolole.

In one case, a 46-year-old man was robbed of P5,600 in cash in Borakalalo Ward. According to the Lekgwapheng Police Station commander, Mothosera Busang, the recent incidents reflect a troubling trend in the village.

“These two cases are not isolated. We have been recording between two and three robbery cases every week. In most instances, victims are attacked by groups of young men. We suspect a group of six to seven individuals may be behind these incidents,” Busang said.
