SRC appeals suspension of students

The Student Representative Council (SRC) of the University of Botswana is appealing the suspension of 10 of its members by the institution.

UB management slapped the students with a one year suspension each, saying they held a student meeting during lessons without informing the vice chancellor, and disturbed the learning process through a class boycott in August.

SRC Vice President Tiro Diepo says that they intend to use internal processes to appeal the decision, and only approach the courts if the attempt fails.
