SPTC To Build House For Elderly Woman

SELEBI-PHIKWE: An elderly woman, Mogatsachakwe Letswai (72) will soon be leaving her dilapidated one room dwelling after a decision by Selebi-Phikwe Town Council to build her a two and half roomed house.

The house will be built by the council, in conjunction with Habitat for Humanity organisation whose mandate is to build houses for the poor.

Letswai, who originates from Mopipi in the Boteti area told The Monitor in an interview that she survives by getting food from the council and being built a house by the local authority is a blessing. She said she never expected to have a proper roof over her head in this lifetime.
