SPTC engages DCEC to investigate missing P5m

The SPTC’s Audit Committee had long recommended the investigations but the motion had to first be tabled before the full council meeting last Friday.  At yesterday’s full council meeting, councillor Bathaedi Mponwane said to have P5million unaccounted for was a sign of gross negligence.

He said the money could have been used in other developments and feared that the P40 million deficit that council is currently facing this financial year may be due to such cases.
