The Botswana Police Service (BPS) has dismissed reports by Special Constables that their salaries will be slashed effective end of November.

The Special Constables claim that Police Commissioner, Keabetswe Makgophe, will cut their wages following an instruction read out to them last week.

"A savingram was read stating that with effect from this month end we will be paid P1,300 and not the P2,085 (plus recession relief allowance) we earned," one special constable said.
