Special ACM to resolve Scouts leadership crisis

The Court of Appeal (CoA) has ordered the Botswana Scouts Association (BSA) to hold a special Annual Council Meeting (ACM), on April 2, to resolve the leadership crisis.

The power struggle at the association between the executive and chief commissioner, Morgan Letsholathebe had been, for a while now, been playing out in the courts. Yesterday, the executive committee appeared before a one man bench Court of Appeal (CoA) judge seeking redress following the High Court’s failure to give a clear direction as to who was to head the troubled association.

Through a consent order, the parties have agreed that the association will hold a special ACM and in particular deal with the motion of no confidence on Letsholathebe and his committee.
