Son flees, as mother is raped

Letlhakane police confirmed the incident in which the victim, in the company of her son, was visiting a friend around 9pm at Kgwee settlement on Saturday when they were attacked by an unknown man.
“Her son fortunately escaped from the alleged rapist and rescued himself while leaving his mother behind,” station commander, Superintendent Michael Maphephu said. “When asked about the heinous incident, the young man said he was running in order to seek help from people around the settlement. Unfortunately that did not help as it is alleged that his mother was raped in his absence.”
