Social club donate jerseys to pupils

PALAPYE: Kamanga Stars Social Football Club has donated 33 school jerseys to underprivileged pupils of Khurumela Primary School.

Speaking during the donation, chairman of the club, George Malenje said social responsibility is in the club’s constitution therefore they are duty-bound to give back to the community they serve.

“Social clubs are known for fun and having good times in the likes of travelling and touring across the world and drinking alcohol and playing soccer on a Sunday afternoon. But as Kamanga we have deliberately included in our constitution a social responsibility clause in order to shift from the perception of typical social clubs,” he said.
