While Inex Investments (Pty) Ltd enjoyed tenders worth millions of Pula from the government and the private sector, court details show shocking salary disparities at the company.

Inex Investments (Pty) Ltd is owned by Gaborone socialite and millionaire Victor Jimere. As the managing director, Jimere was the highest paid, drawing a P60,000 monthly salary, seconded by his wife at P20,000. The majority of the employees who are Batswana were paid between P900 and P2,000, whilst just five of their counterparts earned more than P5,000. 

The company which is under the watch of the Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS) spent approximately P450,000 in salaries for the month of May 2016. The company is engaged in a bitter legal battle with the taxman over unpaid taxes worth over P24 million.
