Schoolgirl hospitalised after murder-suicide incident

FRANCISTOWN: A man and a schoolgirl are recovering at Nyangabwe Referral Hospital (NRH) after what is suspected to be a murder-suicide incident at Monarch.

The man is alleged to have stabbed the Form Five girl in the neck with a knife and thinking that she was dead, attempted to kill himself. It is said the two were lovers.

The man allegedly waylaid the girl from Francistown Senior Secondary School near the Tati River bank and stabbed her.
