The accused allegedly took the money in various amounts during different dates between 2011 and 2012 in Francistown, Palapye and Shashemooke. The prosecution says that the accused approached the complainant and told her to give him money, which he was to keep somewhere in order for the money to produce sweat (moisture).
The sweat, the prosecution added, was to be used to cleanse the complainant of bad luck and various ills. The money was to be returned to the complainant afterwards, but the accused never did so.
His horrific actions, betraying the trust placed in him to protect children have rightly been met with the full force of the law.
