Residents bemoan closure of Mogodtshane Omang office

The office, which had been operating since 2004 serviced thousands of people from Mogoditshane, Gabane, Mmopane, Kopong and Metsimotlhabe.
Services have now been moved to the BBS Civil and Registration office which has been described as congested by the residents. The residents point out that there has been notable growth in the populations of Mmopane (15.4 percent), Metsimotlhabe (7.1 percent), and Kopong (5.3 percent), which used to be serviced by the Mogoditshane office hence the need for the area to have its own office. Beneficiaries of these services have also complained that there was no public notice about the closure of the office.
