Rari explains move to sue Batshu

The proposed amendment to the Trade Dispute Act by Minister of Labour and Home Affairs, Edwin Batshu was met with furious resistance from the Botswana Federation of Public Sector Unions (BOFEPUSU). Mmegi Staffer OARABILE MOSIKARE sat down with BOFEPUSU secretary general Tobokani Rari to understand why they are against the proposed amendment bill

“Sometime last year, we realised that the minister gazetted a bill on the amendment of the Trade Dispute Act.

BOFEPUSU then, did not have a seat at the Labour Advisory Board (LAB), the forum provided by the available acts.
