Private media tour poverty eradication projects

There is need for regular interaction and updates between government and the private media to share the successes and challenges of the Poverty Eradication Programme PEP).

The press secretary in the Office of the President Masego Ramakgathi said this last week during the media breakfast workshop organised by the Poverty Eradication Unit (PECU) in the Ministry of State President. Ramakgathi said that through the poverty monitoring system, the media would be engaged to get first hand information on the outcomes of the programme.

"Consideration of engaging the media must always be a priority at all levels of the implementation of the programme," said Ramakgathi.
