Police to charge defaulters

Botswana Police Services says it will invoke some statutes to charge those who will not follow the orders of the Department of Veterinary Services, (DVS) after the department banned the movement of cloven-hoofed animals and their products in Zone 11.

The department imposed the ban on Tuesday following a suspected incursion of buffaloes at Moreane crush in Lotlhakane East, near Kanye.

The suspicion arose after authorities spotted, shot and killed one buffalo in the area.
