Police still probing UBSRC case

Botswana Police's public relations officer (PRO) Christopher Mbulawa said police have not decided what action to take against two University of Botswana student leaders who were arrested and detained on Wednesday because investigations are still ongoing.

But he said whether the duo were acting in their capacities as Student Representative Council (SCR) officials, the law would take its course if they are found guilty of any offence.

"Acting on behalf of someone doesn't mean one can be detached from the offence," Mbulawa added.
