Police face transport shortage

The Minister of Defence, Justice and Security Ramadeluka Seretse has acknowledged that there is a shortage of transport in the Botswana Police Service (BPS).

Responding to a question in Parliament on Monday, Ramadeluka said it is quite clear that transport is a challenge affecting all police stations throughout the country.

However, he said that his ministry has engaged the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) to resuscitate the 518 vehicles sent for repairs at the Central Transport Organisation (CTO) workshops around the country.
