FRANCISTOWN: Police say they have roped in the International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) to assist in identifying the family of a Zambian driver who is one of the 22 lives lost in the A3 road accident.

No1 District traffic officer, Robert Mmese said they engaged Zambia Police Service through Interpol. The horrific A3 fatal accident occurred on Thursday morning just near Marapong village after a minibus headed to Maun from Francistown collided with a truck.

According to Mmese, 21 victims of the same accident were identified by their families and authorities. He said they were only left with the Zambian driver, but they have since reached out to Interpol and the company that the deceased was working for to assist in searching for his next of kin.
