Passion killer threatened to stab the police-IO

The Investigating Officer (IO) in a case in which 34-year-old Kediemetse Mogotsi has been charged with the murder of his lover has told the Extension II magistrate’s court that the accused tried to stab a police officer with a knife when he was arrested.

Mogotsi is facing a single count of murder for allegedly strangling to death, his 21-year-old girlfriend Maria Lesolebe from Lerala village, who was a student at Boitekanelo College on July 3, 2017. The couple stayed together at Boshibidu ward in Tlokweng.

When testifying before magistrate Ntombizodwa Ncube, Detective Inspector Rapelang Gaolekwe of Tlokweng Police said the accused was not cooperating with the police upon his arrest. He said the accused wielded a knife in his right hand and tried to stab a police officer when he was arrested.
