FRANCISTOWN: Ten men from Palapye who are jointly charged with murder were yesterday denied bail on account of previously having interfered with a state witness. The state alleges that Omang Kebotswang, Tshepo Tsholetsang, Odirile Kebotswang, Tebogo Tsholetsang, Thabo Selepa, Obakeng Keetile, Thuso Kegomoditse, Galeboe Kebotswang, Golebaone Kealeboga and Keitumetse Kesetsekae jointly murdered Godfrey Mookodi in Palapye on April 22, 2011 after a heated argument following an alcohol-drinking spree.

The accused recently approached court pleading to be granted bail, saying they have never violated their bail conditions before and after they were committed to the high court for trial.

Delivering a ruling on the application for bail by the accused, Justice Phadi Solomon said on August 2014 the applicants applied for bail pending trial.
