Paedophile found guilty of raping little cousin

The incident occurred at the accused and complainant’s family compound at Riverside location on December 20, 2013 at night. At the time the offence was committed, the accused was 19-years-old while the complainant was just five.

Passing judgement against the accused, who cannot be named in order to protect the interests of the child, Senior Magistrate Thebeetsile Mulalu said he is satisfied that the state has proved its case against the perpetrator beyond reasonable doubt.
