Organisers of the popular Nkashi Classic race have dangled a P40,000 grand prize for the fastest poler of this year’s competition to be held along the Thamalakane River in Maun on August, 26.

The amount is a big jump and ten times last year’s P4,000 grand prize money.

Nkashi Classic is an annual mokoro race hosted by the Botswana Wild Bird Trust (BWBT) and the Okavango Eternal partnership to create awareness about the importance of the Okavango River System and celebrate the traditional heritage of the indigenous people living along the Okavango Delta.

The Projects Magazine today launched The Future of Mining Summit, set to become the country’s premier mining conference. The event is scheduled for 12th and 13th of June 2024, at Boipuso Hall, Fairgrounds in Gaborone.
