Overstaying breeds corruption

JWANENG- Residents of Jwaneng have urged the government to hasten the process of transfering civil servants from their area arguing that overstaying fuels corruption and poor service delivery.

The call was made during a kgotla meeting on Wednesday addressed by officials from the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development together with Botswana Institute for Development Policy and Analysis (BIDPA).

The Ministry and BIPDA are touring the country to consult residents on how public service can be improved and to empower the staff serving in rural areas.
