Open and distance learning policy in the offing

Botswana is at advanced stages of drawing an Open and Distance Learning (ODL) policy.

The document is expected to be in harmony with the regional one in terms of standards and allowing for transfer of educational credits within SADC. Its standards are expected to be similar if not the same as those of other regional countries, the Executive Director of the Botswana College of Open and Distance Learning (BOCODOL), Dr Daniel Tau announced last week. 

"The policy is quite advanced and will be handed to the Ministry of Education and Skills Development (MoESD) soon," he said.
