Omaweneno headman to appear in court

Bimbo (56) and others namely Phillip Hengari (39), Ditshupo Bimbo (29), Marea Chabanga (79) and Moses Hambira (70) will face two counts for knowing of an offence.
On the first count, the four are accused of becoming accessories. The offence is contrary to section 394 (1) as read with section 395 of the Penal Code and section 75 (1) of Wildlife Conservation and National Parks Act. On count two, they are charged with unlawful possession of government trophy contrary to sections 71 (1) (d) as read with 71 (3) of Wildlife Conservation and National Parks Act.
Despite the residents’ relentless struggle and enduring fears, government has yet to provide a clear and comprehensive solution to this alarming issue.
