Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship, Tiroeaone Ntsima has confirmed the immediate suspension of Thabo Thamane, the CEO of Citizen Entrepreneurial Development Agency (CEDA).

The Assistant Minister of Trade and Entrepreneurship, Baratiwa Mathoothe, served Thamane with the letter of suspension today at his residence.

The length of the suspension hasn’t been disclosed, but Ntsima emphasised that the purpose is to allow those who will be doing the impending forensic audit at CEDA an opportunity to do their work without any ‘disturbance.” The suspension follows widely documented allegations of corruption allegedly rocking the agency, which also saw the CEDA CEO and others going to court recently.
