LOBATSE: Justice Godfrey Nthomiwa of Lobatse High Court yesterday ordered Mabutsane Police station commander to furbish Bashingi Mosepele (32) his medical report. Mosepele, of Nshakashogwe, is alleged to have murdered his girlfriend in 2013.

Defence attorney, Onalethata Kambai told the court that his client alleges that the police brutally assaulted him upon his arrest in May 2013 hence his need for the medical report.

“My client requests a medical report. He is alleging that upon arrest, he was assaulted and taken to Mabutsane Clinic on May 12, 2013. The accused person requests at least a medical report. Our plea is that the court makes an order to Mabutsane police to furnish him with such and the copy of the investigation diary,” submitted Kambai. The state alleges that on May 12, 2013 Mosepele murdered his then girlfriend Olorato Modiradilo allegedly after a scuffle. The accused person further pleaded with the court to variate his bail conditions to allow him to report himself to Nshakashogwe Police Station once a month not twice a month as it has earlier been stated on bail conditions.
