No factions in BCP – Kekgonegile

As the Botswana Congress Party (BCP) gears up its elective congress in July, Secretary-General Goretetse Kekgonegile rebuffed claims that there are factions within the party, instead revealing that the BCP is considering doing away with lobby lists.

Addressing the media today on the status of the party and the just-ended budget meeting, Kekgonegile stated that BCP has not been rocked by any factions at the moment.

“We don’t have factions as yet in BCP,” Kekgonegile said. As the main opposition party, Kekgonegile said the party is trying by all means to avoid the ideologies of factionalism, as it can make or break the party.
