NGO Council explains its role to NGOs

FRANCISTOWN: The Non-Governmental Organisations Council (NGOC) has promised to help NGOs complete their projects successfully because NGOs have what it takes to help the government improve the lives of Batswana.

This was said by the Coordinator of NGO Council, Michael Mokgautsi, at the orgnisation's visibility workshop at Adansonia Hotel here recently. The workshop attracted representatives of community trusts from Francistown and villages in the North East District and the Central District who had experienced financial and project management problems.

Mokgautsi said the reason the government had formed an NGO council was to assist NGOs after seeing their impact on society.
