FRANCISTOWN: Former speaker of the national assembly and now a special advisor to the Umbrella For Democratic Change (UDC) has labelled Peloni Venson-Moitoi’s candidacy for the position of African Union (AU) chairperson a waste of time.

Margaret Nasha joins a swelling rank of observers who have openly spoken against Venson-Moitoi’s candidacy for the position of AU chairperson. Nasha who unceremoniously left the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) for the UDC voiced her opinion during a political rally in Francistown on Sunday.

She was on a mission to drum up support for her party as the date for the Phillip Matante East by-election inches closer. It was Nasha’s maiden rally in Francistown since she joined the UDC.
