Naledi Police Probe Game City Money Heist

Just a week after a Security Services cash-in-transit van was robbed at gunpoint in Game City mall, robbers allegedly staged another heist today.

This time around the robbers overpowered G4S security guards making off with undisclosed amounts of cash.

Confirming the robbery to MmegiOnline, Naledi’s assistant police station commander, assistant Superintendent Meshack Dambuza said the gunmen allegedly pounced on G4S guards and made away with the cash.

“I do not have details as it is still fresh. I am still waiting for a full report from the police officers who have rushed to the crime scene,” he said.

Last week Sunday evening, still at Game City, a Security Services cash-in-transit van was robbed at gunpoint with the robbers getting away with P305, 540 that the guards had finished collecting from Concordant Holdings in Block 3, Fours supermarket in Gaborone West Industrial and Pick n Pay in Game City.

Following the robbery, police launched a search to arrest three alleged suspects who are still at large.
