Following the postponement of the Naked Soul Picnic in October, the laid back event will finally take place this Saturday at Bojanala Waterfront.

Co-promoter of the event, Rapula Kegopilwe revealed in an interview that they are finally ready to host one of the serene events as they now have gotten their house in order. Kegopilwe who co promotes the event with Mpho Sebina stated that grounds for their postponement were only to finalise some finer details with booked artists.

“Preparations are going well this far. The event had to be postponed and this was so that we have enough time to conclude everything that needed to be done with sponsors and other artists who are pivotal to this event,” he said. He further promised patrons that the event will be bigger and better and that entertainment will not only come from live performances. “This year's event is even bigger. We will have the cook off live on Saturday at the event on top of the performances and this will be for the first time,” he proudly said.

Additionally, he put out doubts that Shekinah will be a no show at the event, as it has become a trend lately with artists not honoring their bookings. “Shekinah will be in town and not just her, Marcus Harvey will be in town and Thato Jessica is in town already. We are also yet to have an event where an artist has not shown up for the event,” Kegopilwe said.

Meanwhile, Kegopilwe stated that the ticket sales for the event have been improving especially with the announcement of the cook off at the picnic. But still with ticket sales transcending, Kegopilwe revealed that they are only targeting 2 000 people.
