Murder accused remanded in fear of his life

PALAPYE: The state prosecutor, sergeant Thuso Tsie has asked the court to extend Tuelo Seepi’s remand in custody to protect him against a possible retaliation by the deceased’s family after allegedly murdering a woman on Monday.

Tsie told the court that murder is a serious offence and the matter is still fresh. He cautioned that the accused life would be in danger if he was released when the deceased relatives are still mourning.

Chief Magistrate Rebecca Motsamai heard that Seepi murdered Maria Molefe an employee of Botswana International University of Science & Technology (BIUST) at Lotsane Ward.
