Motor vehicle theft, incessantly terrorising Greater Gaborone, is rapidly spreading to other parts of the country, with Selebi-Phikwe becoming the latest hotspot.

So far, Selebi-Phikwe police have recorded three cases of motor vehicle theft, with the Honda Fit emerging as the most targeted model.

Confirming the trend, Selebi-Phikwe Police Station commander, Superintendent Moathodi Makumula, expressed concern to The Monitor following another recent incident in which a Honda Fit was stolen from outside Planet Bar on Sunday morning.
