Police in Old Naledi, Gaborone, are investigating a murder case in which a 31-year-old man of Moshopha village allegedly fatally stabbed his 29-year-old girlfriend with a sharp object in the early hours of Monday morning following a misunderstanding.

The deceased, who also hailed from Moshopha, had reportedly visited their home village over the weekend and returned to Gaborone on Sunday evening. Upon her return, the couple who share a child allegedly got into a heated argument that turned violent.

Confirming the incident, No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Mmoloke Sebako, said they received the report around 1:50 am on Monday.
