Says the Executive Secretary of the Botswana Network on Ethics and Law (BONELA), Uyapo Ndadi, who is a lawyer by training: "The appointments are commendable and will entrench the independence of our judiciary as Moroka and Dambe are independent-minded."
The conservatism of the bench has been a sore spot across the legal profession and Batswana who take a keen interest in the advancement of justice. Describing the appointment of the two as a quantum leap, Ndadi says the two will not merely fill vacancies.
