FRANCISTOWN: The recent altercation between maverick Francistown West legislator Ignatius Moswaane and his party colleague former nominated councillor, Ford Moiteela is now water under the bridge.

Officially, Moswaane has forgiven his political bosom buddy and an assault case that Moiteela faced has been duly withdrawn.  Moswaane claims to have ‘forgotten’ about the crime after he was badly assaulted and embarrassed at a Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) meeting in Block Four location. The BDP generally believes it received bad publicity from the Moswaane/Moiteela altercation to the extent that the fight is partly blamed for the party loss.

However, that is not just about it.  There is a lot to the withdrawal of the case than meets the eye.
