Former army officer, Richard Moleofe who has been campaigning for Mogoditshane constituency as an independent, has abandoned his individual crusade in favour of Umbrella for Democratic Change (UDC).

Moleofe who has become famous for waging his campaign on horse-back, was welcomed at a UDC rally as the party launched its parliamentary candidate for the constituency, Sedirwa ‘Chillieboy’ Kgoroba in Mogoditshane on Sunday. 

“Tota kgang ke go ntsha Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) mo pusong eseng sepe gape. Ke ka moo ke boneng gole botoka gore ke thuse Kgoroba go lwantsha BDP,” meaning the issue is chiefly to remove the BDP from government, hence his decision to join the UDC.
