A 25-year-old Motswana man has been arrested for allegedly fatally stabbing a 39-year-old Zimbabwean man during a drinking session at Mmopane Block 1 in the early hours of Saturday.

No.13 District Officer Commanding, Senior Superintendent Mmoloke Sebako, confirmed the incident, saying police received the report at around 3:25 am.

Preliminary investigations indicate that the two men were consuming alcohol with others when a misunderstanding broke out and escalated into a fight. Sebako said the suspect is alleged to have stabbed the victim with a sharp object, leading to his death.
