Mochudi hit by rising car theft

Every month a car is stolen in Mochudi and never recovered, something that worries the police and giving residents sleepless nights.

Police suspect that a syndicate targeting Honda Fit, Madza Demio and Toyota RunX car models could be on the loose in the area.

In an interview with The Monitor, Mochudi Police Station commander, Superintendent Joel Masilo said they were investigating a case in which a Toyota Wish was stolen in Boseja ward, Mochudi, on Saturday morning. He said the owner of the vehicle had just arrived home at around 03:50hrs and went inside the house to take a bath only to return to find the vehicle missing.
