MATSILOJE: The deputy speaker of the National Assembly, Pono Moatlhodi has warned children against older people who try to coerce them into sexual relationships.

Moatlhodi made these remarks at the Spiritual Healing Church youth conference in Matsiloje last Friday. He encouraged the children to avoid temptations and peer pressure by concentrating on their religious faith, noting that this could help prevent unwanted pregnancies and prevent them from contracting HIV/AIDS. Moatlhodi also encouraged the children to respect and care for their elders so as to attain the national vision 2016 pillar of a just, compassionate and caring nation. "A devoted Christian must be firm, principled..." said Moatlhodi.

He stressed that church cultivates the spirit of discipline and that the youth should complete their studies before contemplating marriage or having children.
