Mayor demands respect for Ntlo ya Dikgosi

SELEBI-PHIKWE: Speaking at a meeting with members of Ntlo ya Dikgosi at the council chambers this week, the mayor of Selebi-Phikwe, Lekang Mukokomani, said the institution of bogosi is not given the respect it deserves.

He pleaded that the title of bogosi should not be given to any person. "People who are hired by the government as court presidents are not entitled to be called 'Dikgosi'.

They are court presidents and I do not think they deserve to be addressed as Dikgosi," he said.
