Maun water shortage ends

The acting Maun Water Affairs station manager, Mpateng Gojamang has said that perpetual breakdown of old boreholes is the cause of acute shortage of water in the village over the past three weeks.

He said the problem has been temporarily solved and next year, with the implementation of NDP 10, there will be plenty of water in Maun.

He said Maun is a big village and the use of old water schemes has been problematic and a new one would be implemented in NDP 10 to tackle water shortage, improve storage and expand sanitation infrastructure.
