Matome, Nchindo, back in remand, with costs

LOBATSE: It was tears and agony for the Nchindo and Matome families as High Court judge, Steven Gaongalelwe, sent Garvas Nchindo and Joseph Matome back to jail pending sentence by Regional Magistrate, Lot Moroka.

Gaongalelwe yesterday dismissed a bail application by Nchindo and Matome and upheld a decision by Moroka to remand the two after conviction.

Gaongalalelwe found nothing wrong in what Moroka did adding that the right to liberty of an individual ceases to exist once the trial court has entered a conviction.
