Masisi�s home region snubs his endorsement

The Botswana Democratic Party (BDP)’s Southern Region over the weekend appeared to snub former president Sir Ketumile Masire’s endorsement of Mokgweetsi Masisi for the party’s chairmanship, Mmegi has established.

The region, which houses Masisi’s home constituency of Moshupa/Manyana, held a regional congress over the weekend, which was attended by Masisi, Tebelelo Seretse, Moemedi Dijeng and Seteng Motalaote.

Masisi, Seretse, Dijeng and Motalaote are among the hopefuls for the BDP’s chairmanship, which will be decided at a national congress on July 3, 2015.
