FRANCISTOWN: The Vice President Mokgweetsi Masisi is said to be heading to the second city this weekend to welcome former Botswana Congress Party (BCP) candidate for Botsalano ward, Barulaganye Mooketsi to the ruling Botswana Democratic Party (BDP).

While Mooketsi, once a prominent BCP activist here, was yesterday not willing to discuss his reported BDP move, he is said to have ditched the BCP after allegedly falling out with Francistown West constituency chairman Gilbert Makombo.

Mmegi has it on good authority that Mooketsi’s ruling party membership was processed at the party headquarters in Gaborone on Monday after a weekend meeting with some of the party senior officials. BDP chairperson, Masisi is expected to officially welcome him on Sunday.
