Local film producer Thabiso Maretlwaneng’s Dee Zone Productions could possibly be facing eviction for unpaid rentals. Maretlwaneng’s television and film production company has been operating at the Finance Park at a property owned by UNIGEM.

The property company has now dragged him to court among others seeking an order to evict him from their building and for him to pay rental in arrears and utility levies.According to papers filed before court, Maretlwaneng who is being sued for breach of contract, was to let the space for a period of two years from March 1, 2014 until February 29, 2016.

He is now being sued for arrear rentals in the sum of P838,548.48, interest at a rate of 9.5 percent per annum from March 1, 2015 to date of full payment.
