Veteran journalist, Modise Maphanyane was last week retained unopposed as the chairman of the Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) Botswana chapter.

At an Annual General Meeting held in Gaborone on Friday, Maphanyane received unanimous assent to lead the media organisation for another three-year term.

At the elective AGM, Midweek Sun editor, Abraham Motsokono replaced Sakaeyo Jannie as vice chairman, while Malebogo German was unopposed as treasurer. Jannie was later elected as an additional member, while local lawyer, Tshiamo Rantao was retained as the second additional member.
