FRANCISTOWN: Scores of mourners gathered in Tonota to bid farewell to renowned Kwaito star, Thabo Ntirang, popularly known as Mapetla.

He was laid to rest yesterday (Sunday). The hitmaker lost his life in a tragic car accident last Sunday, a week before his funeral. Speaking at the funeral, Mapetla’s little sister, Katlego Ntirang, known as Dato Seito in the music circles, pledged to continue her brother's legacy. The "Vow" hitmaker described his brother as a creative and very affectionate man who was loved and adored by many. She said the 'Ahh' singer was a role model who always made everything seem possible in terms of creativity. “My brother was a very loving and forgiving person.

He was my heartbeat and my everything but above all, my best friend,” she said. The musician indicated that she will forever cherish every memory with her brother and he will forever hold a special space in her heart. Other speakers at the funeral also described the departed artist as multi-talented, hardworking, humble, and a loving and dedicated father to his children. Mapetla had been in the music industry for the last few decades, managing to release tracks in collaboration with other artists such as T.H.A.B.O, Dato Seito, Obakeng, Chef Gustos and Charma Gal.
