The Court of Appeal (CoA) has provided the National Amalgamated Local and Central Government and Parastatal Workers Union, commonly referred to as the Manual Workers Union, with a chance to pursue their recognition case against the Botswana Unified Revenue Service (BURS).

CoA President Tebogo Tau has granted their request for a condonation application, allowing their appeal to proceed despite a late filing of a bond for security for costs.

In her ruling delivered on Friday, Tau ordered the Manual Workers Union to submit the required bond for security within 14 days from the date of the order. Additionally, she directed the Court Registrar to schedule the appeal for a hearing once the security bond is filed as instructed.
